Meghan Markle
As love blossomed between Meghan Markle and Prince Harry,
Meghan became the top-Googled actress in 2016. However, it wasn’t until
November 2017 that the couple announced their engagement — although,
reportedly, they actually decided to marry a month earlier.
Current look
In-line with her support of the United Nations Entity for
Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, Markle’s style is decidedly
sophisticated.
She has always favoured monochrome palettes and demure
styles, choosing sweetheart necklines over plunging cuts and knee-length
dresses instead of shorter alternatives. Although there’s evidence of short,
strapless numbers in the past, we’re sure Markle’s upcoming hen and wedding outfit
choices will stay true to her future lifestyle.
Hen party look
With Prince William and Kate Middleton’s pre-wedding parties
remaining relatively low-key, Markle was always expected to host a similar hen
party.
And she did. Markle recently invited her nearest ladies to a
quiet and sophisticated luxury spa retreat. Unfortunately, we don’t know
exactly what the bride-to-be wore, however, we can expect that it saw her relax
her usual dress into something that’s both chic and casual. Whenever she was
out of the treatment room and hot tub, she possibly wore something like a
playsuit with flats, a drop-waist dress with a light jacket or even ripped
skinny jeans and an oversized sweatshirt to make sure she stayed comfy, stylish
and modest on her final night of freedom with her hens.
Wedding look
As with any royal wedding, Markle’s dress is expected to
remain under lock and key until the big day arrives. Since this is Markle’s
second wedding, she possibly already has an idea of the style of dress she
wants — apparently, some of her favourite bridal designers are Delphine Manivet
and Christos Costarellos.
However, we predict that Markle will choose a more revealing
style than future sister-in-law, Kate, did. Perhaps she’ll opt for something
similar to Princess Victoria of Sweden, who wore a sleeveless design and bare
shoulders. Then again, she might want to fuse vintage and contemporary by going
for a lace dress and a traditionally long train, complemented by a
capped-shoulder design and deep cut back.
Paris Hilton
Announcing her engagement to Chris Zylka on 2nd
January 2018 with a snap posted on social media, Paris Hilton is officially off
the market. Worth around $300 million and currently wearing a 20-carat diamond
engagement ring, we suspect Hilton will make sure the wedding is a lavish
affair.
Current look
In her younger years, Hilton was a huge fan of tiny dresses
and even smaller dogs. Now 36 years old, Hilton has ditched the crop tops,
rhinestones and princess-inspired trends and opts for longer hem lines, tapered
designs and more subtle colours — with her signature long blonde locks, of
course.
Hen look
We anticipate that Hilton will have multiple hen parties
across the globe — and she’ll need the perfect outfit for each of them. Nowadays,
she’s a popular DJ, so if one of the events involves music and partying, we can
picture Hilton bringing back a touch of her past style to celebrate the occasion.
How about a short bodycon dress to show off her long legs,
finished with some glitzy jewellery? She might opt for a fringed or sequin
design to add a splash of shimmer or create a quirkier silhouette — anything to
make her stand out from the crowd.
Wedding look
If the ring is anything to go by, Hilton’s dress is expected
to break the bank! Hilton has always worn dresses that highlight her tall,
slender figure, so expect a dress that clings to her frame.
Recent looks have seen her cover up her chest in favour of
showing off her arms and legs. While we don’t suspect that she’ll walk down the
aisle with her legs out, there’s a chance she’ll opt for a fitted, high-neck,
sleeveless occasion
dress that’s speckled with jewels to keep her shimmering from vows to
after-party.
Olivia Buckland
Two of our favourite Love Island contestants — Olivia
Buckland and Alex Bowen — are about to tie the knot. Bowen popped the question
when the couple, who met on Love Island, were on holiday in New York. Since
then, Buckland has been revealing little details about the wedding to help give
fans an idea of what the big day will look like.
Current look
Her style is characteristically urban while still remaining
feminine. Her collection with QUIZ highlights staple pieces in contemporary
women’s fashion, including metallic dresses and floral bodysuits, which has
propelled her to fashion-icon status for many young women across the UK.
Hen look
Buckland has announced that her hen night will be taking
place in Mykonos. By her own admission, the event will begin wild and get tamer
— so what does that mean for her hen do wardrobe?
She has a style that is both young and current. We imagine
nights on the party island revolving around bold sequins, short hemlines,
metallic palettes, bare-shoulder designs, asymmetric cuts, chokers, and strappy
heels, while daytimes mean high-waisted shorts and cropped graphic tees —
paired with chunky wedges for the pool parties.
Wedding look
Buckland has reportedly chosen her wedding dress already,
describing it as being “really cute”. Buckland suits a range of styles, but for
her wedding, we can see her opting for something that fuses traditionally
bridal with contemporary urban fashion. She may choose lace or chiffon fabrics
with a long train to bring a piece of the past into her design, while an
off-the-shoulder cut and fishtail silhouette might be good options for her to
modernise the look.
Kirsten Dunst
The pregnant Kirsten Dunst said “yes” when Jesse Plemons
popped the question early in 2017. Calling it a “low-key” proposal, the couple
are apparently enjoying the wedding planning process so far, but have yet to
announce a date for the big day.
Current look
Dunst is famous for recreating her looks. One day you can
spot her in the style guides with baggy overalls and long-sleeve tees, the next
she’ll be rocking straight-leg jeans and a tailored jacket, and in between
those there’ll be award ceremonies that show her in anything from flapper-style
dresses to floor-trailing gowns. Feminine, distinctive and slightly
unconventional at times, Dunst’s wedding outfits are going to be hard to
predict.
Hen look
Unlike some other celebs, Dunst is staying tight-lipped on
the whereabouts of her hen party. However, Kirsten Dunst has enjoyed recent
success in the wedding-themed film, Bachelorette, playing overachieving Regan.
If she’s going to adopt this character’s style, expect her hen do/bachelorette
party to show her wearing neutral tailored suits, fitted trench coats, sling-back
heels, and figure-hugging dresses.
Wedding style
Rodarte designers, Kate and Laura Mulleavy, are reportedly
designing Dunst’s wedding dress. So, what will it look like? Rodarte’s Spring
2018 collection embraces tulle fabrics and pastel shades, with a stunning
variety of embellishments from feathers and polka dots, to beads and pearls.
But don’t be fooled by the romanticism and femininity of the collection, it was
also peppered with feisty statements, including animal skin motifs and chunky
metallic accessories.
We envision Dunst in a bold yet ethereal bridal gown.
Imagine a fluttering silhouette with statement-making adornments that project the
idea of a futuristic fairy-tale.
