The Summer box itself is
absolutely beautiful; it screams Summer, decorated in colourful butterflies and
vibrant flowers, along with lovely little graphics of the sun and bright grass.
I wasn’t expecting the box to be so large and sterdy so I was pleasantly
surprised, as it means I can use it as storage for other supplements in the
future.
The Hello Summer box comes as a
seasonal kit (different boxes are available for each season), containing 4 coordinated
supplement packs to improve your health and wellbeing for the season ahead. The
Summer Box includes: Digestion Shape, Sun Prime, Libido Stimulate and
Circulation Activate. I was mostly excited about the Sun Prime and Digestion
Shape as I am not the best of tanners and natural tanning boosters have always
intrigued me; along with the Digestion Shape because, really, who doesn’t love
a tasty, diluteable vitamin to get you in shape for the summer?
Both the Digestion Shape and Circulation Activate
come in a form of sticks/tubes which contain a powder product that needs to be
diluted in a glass of water, best taken with meals. Digestion Shape
contains Green Tea and Artichoke to help push along your metabolism and
suppress the appetite for weight loss. Circulation Activate, on the other hand,
combines Red Vine Leaf with Blackcurrant Berries to help improve blood
circulation and lower blood pressure – the perfect healthy combo for those
heavy nights in the sun!
Both tubes were decorated in
gorgeous bright colours and were easy to work with; I simply emptied their
contents in to a glass water (individually, of course), stirred with a teaspoon
and sipped with a meal. I found the Digestion Shape (which was in a purple
satchet) really tasty – it had notes of blueberries (the proof was certainly in
the pudding!) Alternatively the Circulation Activate was a slightly stronger
taste, with slight raspberry notes but a little more sour. Equally both went
down a treat and I continued taking these once a day for a month. The
noticeable benefits for me were that my every day bloating had subsided and I
felt a little more energised in the mornings, which is of course very much welcomed!
The Libido Stimulate
tablets came in a clean white box with the brand’s sun logo engravings in red;
the ingredients and contents clear on the back. These tablets contain Maca Root
and Magnesium with the aim to reduce fatique, boost libido and promote desire
(yup!) The tablets themselves are quite hard/solid and bright yellow in colour,
so you can’t miss them! They go down fairly easily and are best taken before a
meal. I certainly noticed more of a feeling of wellbeing on a daily basis once
I’d started taking these for around 3 weeks, so I found them the ideal
supplement for the summertime when you are out and about often and generally
non-stop.
Last but not least, the Sun Prime are fantastic
little red multivitamins containing Copper and Beta-Carotene, all wrapped up
within their white box featuring a bright yellow sun with all ingredients
included. The aim of these tablets is to act as powerful antioxidants,
preparing the skin for the sun and enhance a tan. I absolutely love the idea of
this supplement as my skin doesn’t always tan as evenly as I’d hope (as I have
quite a lot of eczema scarring) and it needs an extra push to stay protected
but encouraged to tan at the same time. Again, I took this supplement in the
morning with my breakfast to start the day off nice and fresh! This was perfect
timing, too, as I was off on my way to sunny Cyprus! Straight away I found that
tanning with these tablets seemed to kick in almost immediately. My tan was
evident after one day, and by the fourth day abroad my tan was much stronger
than it usually is when I go away – massive plus! I also found that my tan was
way more even. Whether this was a coincidence or not I will never know, but I’ll
be sure to purchase these again.
Overall I’m absolutely over the
moon with my Hello Summer box; I adore the concept of its contents boosting
both your health and morale as the seasons change, and I absolutely adore the
design of the box which screams high quality and lots of thought. I would
certainly take the pleasure of trying other boxes available throughout the
year, as I’d be intrigued to see how the supplements vary and how they may work
in a different way to others. Subscription boxes and hampers are huge right
now, so the fact that Hello Day have combined this trend with the encouragement
of health supplements is really lovely and definitely something I’ll try again
in the months to come.
